Elite Member Code of Conduct

As an Elite Member using Good Sam Overnight Stays, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of behavior. This Code of Conduct ensures a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all.
Respect the Property and Hosts
- Treat each location with care, following all posted house rules and guidelines provided by the host. Leave the space as you found it—clean and tidy.
- Show courtesy toward host staff and other guests at the property.
- Promptly report any accidental damage or issues to the host and our support team.
- Keep noise levels reasonable, respect quiet hours, and be mindful of the surrounding community.
Adhere to Local Laws and Host Policies
- Follow all local regulations and specific policies set by the host.
- Unauthorized parties or disruptive behavior are not permitted.
Required Insurance
- Members must carry active RV or vehicle insurance that meets state and federal requirements.
- Proof of insurance must be available upon request by hosts or platform administrators.
- Members assume full responsibility for any damages caused by their vehicle while on host property. Host properties have no responsibility for and damage or theft, or injury to you or your guests.
Support the Local Business
- While your stay is complimentary, we encourage a minimum spend of $30 to contribute to their business. Enjoy local offerings responsibly.
Bookings & Platform Use
- Make all bookings and communications honestly, and inform us immediately of any concerns.
- Abide by our terms of service to maintain a trustworthy community.
Arrive with a Self-Contained RV
- Members must travel in a self-contained RV, equipped with an onboard toilet, waste storage, and the ability to operate independently.
- Hosts are not required to provide restrooms, electricity, water, or dump stations.
- Failure to comply with self-contained RV requirements may result in booking restrictions or removal from the platform.
Three-Strike Policy for No-Shows
- First No-Show: A warning will be issued, and the Member must acknowledge the policy.
- Second No-Show: Temporary suspension of booking privileges for 30 days.
- Third No-Show: Removal from the platform and revocation of Elite Member benefits. No refunds will be issued.
- Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance of the confirmed arrival date through the platform to avoid penalties. This also applies to any bookings made within the 72- hour window.
By using our platform, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct, ensuring that every stay contributes to a positive experience for you and our hosts. Violation of this Code of Conduct, the Overnight Stays Terms of Service, or the Membership Terms & Conditions may result in suspension or termination of your Membership. No refunds will be issued.
