By God's grace, Oswald Vineyard uses 43 acres of European grapes on 260 acres of West Texas semi-desert to make unique barrel aged premium wines. Our vineyard and winery are completely family operated with three of our sons and their families. We all live on the property along with our dogs, cat, cows and chickens.

Items to purchase

We make wines from our 7 varietals in our vineyard, 6 are available for sale: Aglianico, Albarino, Montepulciano, Moscato Giallo (sweet and dry), Roussanne and Vermentino.
A sit down wine tasting can be set-up, $15 per person (must arrive by 5pm) usually lasting an hour. A small cheese and cracker plate is provided to aid differentiation of the wines.
A quick stand-up tasting of wine is free (no cheese plate) as an option and for late arrivals
Dina-Marie and the up-coming bakers make cinnamon rolls and whole wheat bread upon request.
Jelly from the last harvest's grapes is available while the supply lasts.
Free-range eggs are also for sale if the chickens are nice.
50A/30A hook-ups are $15 with the purchase of wine ($40 w/o).

Cultural significance

This is the High Plains of West Texas. The spring winds (50-60 mph), the summer heat (+110°F) and cold winter (<10°F) makes this is a hard place to live in, besides it's a semi-desert (~17" rain/yr). Tenacious folks settled here when there wasn't power and grocery stores.
